Professional Background and Experience
Ellie is a lawyer by training and was appointed to the management board of Asda, age 31. She subsequently sat on the Asda Executive Board for over 5 years, with a broad mandate including legal, strategic risk, compliance, and HR. She was the chair of a £1.2bn global sourcing business operating in 30 countries. In 2013 she joined the Wal-Mart EMEA leadership team responsible for developing a compliance and ethics programme across EMEA and Canada, with a team of over 250 across 3 continents.

Ellie works with senior executives often newly appointed directors or in succession to a board role, and first time Non-Executive Directors. She supports leaders to find their voice at the table to prepare for the next stage of their career and to help them become even more authentic leaders, building trust and improving their ability to work with others, navigate tricky relationships and lead across the organisation. She is direct and challenging whilst being supportive and facilitates fresh thinking.
