Jill McMillan has spent over 20 years at the forefront of leadership development, coaching senior executives and leadership teams across corporate, non-profit, and education sectors. As a Master Certified Coach, she helps leaders develop the behavioural intelligence to lead with clarity, navigate complexity, and create lasting cultural change.
Her career began in strategy consulting at Accenture before she moved into leadership development, designing and leading global leadership programmes for investment banks and multinational organisations. Through this work, she saw that exceptional leadership isn’t just about technical expertise or strategic thinking—it’s about self-awareness, adaptability, and the ability to lead from presence.
Yet most leadership development focused on what leaders needed to do, not who they needed to be—missing the deeper shifts that unlock trust, influence, and long-term success.
That realisation led her to create Leaderbeing, a leadership consultancy designed to challenge outdated leadership models and put being at the heart of leadership. As CEO, Jill leads the strategic direction of the business, ensuring that Leaderbeing’s programmes, coaching, and thought leadership equip leaders and organisations with the skills to elevate their leadership and amplify their impact.
Jill’s work takes her from boardrooms to classrooms, coaching leaders across industries to expand their behavioural range, build cultures of accountability, and navigate change with confidence. She believes leadership is a deeply human act—about presence, connection, and the courage to rewrite the stories we tell ourselves.
Beyond Leaderbeing, Jill is a spoken word performer, relentless doodler, and unapologetic notebook hoarder. Above all, she is Mum to three teenagers and wife to a headteacher (Leaderbeing’s Executive Chairman no less), who remind her daily to pay attention to the tiny details that make up a life.
